Headquartered in Milan, MSA Mizar is a tech enabled full-service software provider of claims management services to the insurance industry and also provides specialised recoveries and other back-office activities. As the Italian market leader, the MSA Mizar Group manages both domestic and international claims across Italy and internationally, through offices located in Italy, France, Spain and Portugal.
Working closely with the founder and the management team, Columna’s investment strategy is to create the leading independent European claims management platform through continued organic growth, increase in service scope (ie ASP/SaaS IT claims management solutions) and capture of targeted consolidation opportunities in the fragmented European market with an initial focus on France and Spain.
On 31 December 2023, we achieved €75 million in sales, up 15% compared to €65 million in 2022, with a positive profitability despite the important investments in technology (more than 2.5 million Euro, +25% compared to 2022) and structure.
Two years after the entry into the capital of the fund Columna Capital (April 22), the performance of the Group continues to be driven by acquisitions, which will continue to play a major role in our international growth path in the near future. By the end of 2024, we acquired Veta+, the leader company in the Property insurance outsourcing market in Spain. The acquisition seals MSA Mizar’s growth trajectory: from approximately 30 million in 2021, the Group is set to reach 130 million in 2024, multiplying its size by four in just a few years.
